“Regenerative Education” is a project born from the desire to transform an urban park into a vibrant, open, and participatory space, where education, community, and social innovation are tangibly intertwined. In the heart of Reggio Emilia, within the Parco della Cooperazione, a permanent educational experimentation lab is taking shape thanks to the Learning by Languages Innovation Hub.

Here, an experimental nursery, a creative atelier, and a training center for educators serve as the starting points for a broader process of urban regeneration. Through an approach based on placemaking and participatory co-design, the project engages citizens, children, educators, institutions, and local businesses in a journey of listening, imagination, and collective creation. The park is thus transformed into an open-air, inclusive, and accessible widespread atelier, enriched with multilingual narrative installations and experiential paths that foster care, beauty, and a sense of belonging

“Regenerative Education” is an invitation to experience public space as a shared good, generating connections and new educational opportunities rooted in the places we inhabit.
